62 | Real Estate Market P O R T A D A N UEVA M ARINA En la Cruz de Huanacaxtle, pueblo pesquero tradicional, se encuen- tra en transformación hacia la modernidad, ya que en el lugar se está construyendo una marina (Marina La Cruz) con capacidad para 351 em- barcaciones, de las cuales habrá cuatro lugares para embarcaciones de 150 pies, más un muelle para una embarcación de 200 pies y otro mue- lle para uno de 400 pies. Pedro Fernández del Valle Ochoa, fundador y director general del proyecto Marina La Cruz, señaló que “será la mejor marina del pacífico mexicano, por los servicios de calidad mundial que se ofrecerán, inclu- yendo la grúa más grande de México, para embarcaciones de hasta 120 toneladas que nadie tiene en México”. Estimó que será en diciembre del presente año cuando se tenga ya todo el equipamiento, en tanto la obra avanza para estar lista en dicho mes. “Vamos a liberar los sleeps y empezar a operar en diciembre”. Agregó que están construyendo un malecón de dos kilómetros, un co- rredor con desarrollos habitacionales, hoteles boutique, restaurantes y tien- das. La industria pesquera sigue en desarrollo y esta en construcción un mer- cado de pescados y mariscos para la comercialización de la producción local. Hasta la fecha han invertido entre 25 y 30 millones de dólares, pero el monto final será mucho mayor. Pedro Fernández afirmó que lo que se busca es que el pueblo conviva con la marina y a la inversa, para que todo el entor- no se vea favorecido, no se trata de desplazar ni afectar a nadie sino contribuir con el desarrollo de toda la zona denominada la Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
