De manera particular, en la actualidad se están posicionando Litibú, El Capomo, Destiladeras, Punta Raza, a los cuales se han destinado in- versiones por más de 650 millones de dólares. Aparte de estos lugares la región cuenta con diversos sitios de inte- rés entre los que destacan, Nuevo Vallarta, Flamingos, Bucerías, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Punta Mita, Islas Marietas, San Francisco, Sayulita, Lo de Marcos, Rincón de Guayabitos, Chacala y San Blas, sitios en los que es posible llevar a cabo diversas actividades turísticas de sol y playa, golf, ecoturismo, turismo de aventura, turismo cultural, entre otras.
